The next Main Street Monday feature is the Kosciusko County Historical Society! They maintain multiple historical sites including the Chinworth Bridge, the Jogn Pound Center, and the Old Jail Museum where they are headquartered! They will schedule guided tours for groups or individuals, or you can do a self-guided tour of the Old Jail Museum at any time. This is the last week they will be open until March, so make sure to stop by and look at the Native American exhibit before it leaves. Next March, they will reopen with their circus exhibit which will include fun events throughout the year! One event going on next year will be Downtown Haunted History Tours. This is just one of the many events that you will want to make sure to check out next year! Another part of the Historical Society is the Research and Genealogy Library! This is also located in the Old Jail Museum and is a great place to do property and business research. The Historical Society could not do all that they do without grants and members, so if you want to support these causes, you could become a member for only $25 a year! One thing that surprises people about the Historical Society is how big it is inside, so make sure to go check it out! If you want to learn more about the History of this area, make sure to make a stop at the Historical Society! Thank you to the Kosciusko County Historical Society for being one of our Main Street Monday features!
